The events of our lifetimes are history as it happens. Each of us is a historian with a treasure of information and recollection. The Muser's been soaking up dates and data about Denver, Colorado for nearly half a century. Here are a few obscurities:

• The first U. S. airline bombing
• When the White House was here - the President recovers from a heart attack.
• Flood waters cut Denver in half
• Housewives boycott - Grocers cut prices
• It took a woman to take back Denver's Congressional seat for Democrats
• Record voter turnout picks Hispanic Mayor
• Denver isn't in the mountains
  

* It's almost a desert
* There are no covered wagons
* And the winters are wonderful.
